Is it okay to wear a black series of combat vehicles for Tae Kwon Do to the side of those red and blues?

I'm just curious if it's okay to wear black for sparring gear next to those of red and blue for tournaments and sparring real

Red and blue are mandatory for most official tournaments. AAU and USAT rules are very strict about what you can wear. My son lost a full point at nationals because of the wrong color gear (in the end it cost him the match). If we had not ripped off some other child and threw on him, he would have been disqualified. For school sparring I would ask your instructor if he cares. But if you plan to compete, I would not buy more than you do. It can become expensive.
